This workshop will teach you the basic elements of an effective, user-friendly website and introduce you to current website marketing and e-commerce trends.

E-Commerce and Website Basics:
Are you looking to create an effective website or do you need to update yours to make it more effective? This section of the workshop will outline the necessary steps to developing a successful website. Learn about the initial costs of creating a site, the pros and cons of developing a site in-house versus hiring a development firm, hosting, and search optimization. Take home a workbook to help with the initial planning or documenting of your site to help you get started with your online strategy.

Online Marketing Strategies:
Today, consumers are researching products, services and local information online. Just having a website is not enough - you want your audience to find you on the web - even if they don't know you exist! You will walk away from this workshop with a comprehensive online marketing strategy. Learn how to target customers online. Discover ways to communicate with website visitors (even if they don't buy on the first visit). Take away a checklist of easy and inexpensive ways to use your website and the Internet to attract and win audiences, participants, and/or customers.
