Consultancy Match Program
The Business Volunteers for the Arts (BVA) Consultancy Match Program
recruits, trains and places professionals from the business community
to work with nonprofit arts and cultural organizations as pro bono
management consultants. Continuing the Arts & Business Council
of Rhode Island’s tradition of facilitating mutually beneficial
partnerships between the arts and business sectors, this program
enhances the capacity of arts and cultural nonprofits while enriching
the experiences business professionals.
Since 1989,
the BVA program has provided over $6 million dollars in professional
consultation services to over 150 non-profit arts, cultural and
educational organizations across Rhode Island. More than 250
volunteers with a wide range of skills and expertise have contributed
as BVAs. From assisting a board of directors with a strategic planning
process to designing materials for an event, from developing a marketing
plan to creating a website, our volunteers work to ensure that Rhode
Island’s arts and cultural organizations are alive, well and
contributing positively to the economic and social well-being of
the state.
