fest overview
The annual IndieArts Festival celebrates independently produced art, digital media, music, performance and locally-sourced goods and products. The festival infuses downtown Providence with an eclectic mix of live music, DJs, burlesque, spoken word, experimental dance, a compilation of fi lm shorts & fi lms accompanied by live improvised sound environments on three different stages in the Bank of America Skating Center & Burnside Park. The Festival’s inaugural year attracted 8,500 fun-seeking participants! This year's event held on Saturday, July18th is expected to be even more successful!
the arts exchange
The Arts Exchange is a marketplace offering artwork, locally-designed jewelry, clothing, accessories, silk-screened posters and T-shirts, handmade crafts, cards, prints, vinyl records, compact discs, vintage clothing, eyeglasses, jewelry, books, etc. This is an open arts event; all art & craft work must be of your own creation, no mass-produced work will be accepted.
